damocles
1) Roofs. How do I make sloped roofs? Has anyone figured this out yet? I tried adding the roof segments, but that doesn't work. I have the sloped side walls in place, but no other form of roofing segments seem to work. 2) roads - how are the roads in the maps made? Are they done using terrain spots or another method? 3) Stairs - is there an easy way to align stairs? At the moment I'm having to add both sections, move them carefully into position, then add each segment of railing and move them into position very carefully and it takes ages just to make one set of stairs. There must be an easier way... 4) How do I take the 6 man squad from my regular campaign into the custom map? When I load it I end up with three men (a sniper, a grenadier and a soldier). 5) Is there any method of previewing textures? It's a pain having to manually select a texture and paint it on a wall just to see what it looks like. 6) Has anyone looked into making maps into a campaign yet? I'd be interested to know more about linking maps into a sequence, and using clues to uncover maps, etc. I think it could be possible to have branching campaigns that alter their course depending upon how good or bad the player does. Biggles
Hi, at this tage I'm going to have to leave most of your questions to others, but I can help out a bit. 2) Roads. Terrain spots seem to be the way to go with these. 3) Stairs. Like doors and windows, setting up stuff like stairs can be a pain. An idea is to make a template with a basic setup and then import this into your maps. That will save you repeating the same thing over and over. 5) Textures. Can you export them? I haven't tried this, but in theory I guess you could export them and make a preview sheet in photoshop.
