Jimmus
I'm confused. Silent Storm is an absolutely fantastic game. True, it has some serious performance issues, but once you find a balance on your machine, it's a great great experience. It appears to me that Silent Storm's forums (Here, on Nival and JoWood) all seem to be almost DEAD. I see forums for terrible games getting hundreds of posts a day. It's really depressing to see such a wonderful game get such a mediocre reception. I've preached the word to all my friends, much of it falling on deaf ears. And I'd really like to see some organization and additions to the MODs for Silent Storm. I'd love to see a site or web-page which has MODs listed thusly: Mod NameMod AuthorMod DateMod VersionMod Function With the sizes of most minor MODs being very small (within a few Kilobytes), it wouldn't be a huge FTP storage nightmare. Anyone at S2HQ up to the task of cataloging MODs other than here on the forums? A simple page and links to the mods would suffice. It might drum up a bit more interest in this wonderful, but largely-ignored game. Ideas? Comments? I'd be glad to donate some of my time for page design, or whatever. Huwie
I know what you mean, pal. I was astonished to see how dead all the message boards are. The game must have sold a decent number of copies otherwise they wouldn't be making an expansion, so where is everyone? I've tried convincing people to buy it, but a lot of them were put off by the PKs. I'd rather they weren't there, too, but I'm not about to let it stop me playing an otherwise fantastic game. I haven't had the inclination to play a turn-based strategy game since the days of the original X-COM, when I had an Amiga. 8) Edit: 76 views and nobody talking. :?:
