Kevs77
Hi guys, sorry if these are lame questions, couldn't find the answer anywhere: 1. Playing on hard level, why is it I am not able to kill anyone, just make them unconcious. When I need to capture someone, I just blast him with a machine gun. Is this the way the game is supposed to be? 2. I turned on the "always critical" mod that came with the game, yet I have not EVER been hit with a critical shot other than bleeding. Does it even work? Is there a user-made mod that makes all shots critical (more realistic)? Thank you.
Biggles
Hi, don't worry about asking questions, as long as you've at least tried to look for answers no one will bite your head off here. 1) The enemy do occasionally die A mine or grenade is most likely, as Nival actually removed the exploding deaths from bullet wounds. People were complaining that enemies exploded to often. As it stands headshots will often remove the enemies head, this is a definate kill! The 'unconcious' enemies is a bit unrealistic, and may be to keep censors happy. Nonetheless, if you want to play realistically, damage the target to about 50% health, then use a Billyclub or stunning darts to stun them. These are not effective until 50% health. 2) You will get hit with criticals, Trust me. Blindness, deafness, AP drops, VP drops all sorts of criticals. But the always critical is I think more about you always causing criticals to the enemy.

Hi this is my first post - I have the Uk retail version (1.1) and I have experienced exploding deaths from bullet wounds (usually close range. full automatic) :?: ...great game BTW... Biggles
Howdy. Very strange that you would be getting that effect from machine gun fire, but then again at close range the damae is liekly to be extreme, so perhaps they just changed the threshold, not the type of damage required. th0mas
I was playing at normal (easy) and I was standing next door to the British soldier. I have also seen dead bodies 'disappear', although after close analysis this occurs in areas of high gun fire (but no grenades) e.g. at a stairwell etc. It maybe based difficulty level, although I suspect your threashold suggestion is the right one. On an asideSince installing the save mod I have now started playing on Hard ( I found the normall level a little unrealistic/easy ... I like to play with high home-side death rates a la Xcom). I can't get over how much I have missed this type of game, havn't had this much fun in years, Excellent game.
