Can silence sniper rifle shoot through PK's armor?

I do find the science fiction weapons a little overpowering. So I am intending to go without the laser weapons.

 

But in that case, can I sneak up on a PK and snipe the driver with silence sniper rifle ?

 

I am into my second campaign. My first campaign, I have one sniper who "specialized" in sniping the head of PKs' drivers. Hehe.... :lol:

I wouldn't get too close. But yes, you should be able to get headshots.

Haha... thats why I am training my sniper to sneak properly.

 

In my previous campaign, I almost empty the whole backpack of ammo and not hurting the driver at all (I mean using silence sniper rifle).

 

Maybe the penetration power is lower??

I'm really not sure. It's only heresay that a sniper can kill PK pilots with headshots. I didn't try that myself.

 

I used two tactics.

 

1) I hid behind stuff, out of sight of the PK, then popped up, lobbed a grenade, and ducked down again. Occasioannly running to new hiding places as they lumbered about trying to find me.

 

2) I killed the guys with laser weapons as quickly as possible, then bolted in, grabbed them and used those to take out the enemy PKs.
