uly
It would seem that the "Always Inflict Critical" perk doesn't quite work as advertised. Both my scout and my sniper have this perk, for melee and ranged respectively, but neither have shown any significant increase in critical chance, much less "Always". I remember someone else mentioning this. Is this a bug, a balance issue, or a sadistic twist in game design?
Biggles
How are you checking? are you looking in the console? I haven't actually taken this perk in my current game, so it's hard to comment. Let's see what the v1.2 patch does .
uly
Well, it does say "crit prob = 100" in the console so I guess technically the perks are doing something. Still, I don't exactly know how the damage is calculated, all I know is that the end result weren't noticeably better than before. And as far as gameplay is concerned, the perks aren't returning the points I invested to get them.
xarope
how about increased damage? earlier on sniping only does 40-50 dmg, after range crit perk, I noticed it's 90+
Tyrni
Well the critical wont necessarily do more damage if you hit a hand or leg... But the critical always causes one of those special effects (bleeding and such) At least it seems to work for me... One of my finest shots was a snipe on a PF enemys arm in the middle of a group on the German factory mission, that ended up taking out quite a few of those renegades.
