uly
Has this happened to anyone? I was playing the axis traitor colonel mission, the one that you get the silenced sniper rifle. I finished it once with all the clues collected, but then realized that I forgot to pick up the colonel himself at the end, so I started the mission over from a previous safe. The second time I played through the mission everything went smoothly, except that there's one clue I just couldn't find anywhere. I think it was the Letter from Heimdel or something like that. I combed through the map several times, triple checked the spots that I've found the clues first time round, but it just never showed up, and the mission objectives remain incomplete. So I was wondering, do the location of the clues change randomly? And in a situation like mine, is there anything I can do to complete the clues? Any cheats to that effect? Or is it possible that the clue was destroyed during the gun fight? Not sure if clues are destructable as well... Again, has anyone gotten into similar situations? Biggles
I have managed to lose clues.. but not game critical ones. I saw a clue on a table through a second floor window, and though I'd just blow up the first floor and grab it when it fell. But when i blew it up.. the clue went with it ! DOH! Rince
same here! I searched everything, destroyed all crates but i couldn't find this last hint. I thought well, let's have some fun then and started throwing grenades around. I used cheats to replenish my stock of explosives and destroyed the whole manor down to the latest brick (well, almost). After some time the clue appeared magically and i saw it floating down from third to second floor. I did not pick it up but continued to blast the manor to bits instead. When i threw a grenade to the place where the clue was laying, it disappeared again but reappeared some grenades later. I finally picked it up and was allowed to leave the level. kermix
Game documenttion warns you that it is possible to destroy clues. There was another thread on this forum where someone said they managed to cause an explosion that blew a clue document "off the map" - they could see the icon out in the blackness, but there was no path for anyone to pick it up. EppuTheHeppu
Try to destroy a square basket in the top floor, where those armed civilians are. Use gun fire only... It's opposite the locked door, in the back corner... :? I mean in the colonel mission...
Skarn
I lost a mission clue when it was blown off of the screen. It was the mission (Allies) where you go to a factory/store to repel four groups of Germans. The final group has an Officer leading it. Each time that I killed him (any way, grenades, gunfire) the clue would fly off the screen adn be unobtainable. I think it has crippled me though as now I am doing he Berger factory in Switzerland with no PK's and am going up against five PK's at the bottom of the first section. Biggles
You don't need PKs to do those missions, though it helps. I actually got to the end-game without PKs .. now that was just crazy!
