Biggles
I've just been doing some diggiing on the russian fansite https://www.silest.ru . There is some really interesting info there if you are willing to take the time to look. It seems they are putting together a couple of new sites, one for editing/console stuff and another about the Chechnya mod. Anyway, Novik has been busy and put a lot of info up about the console commands and key binds that are possible. There's also STACKS of tables and what-not from the editor tucked away. So what's all this got to do with the subject you may ask.... well.. I came across an interesting description for one of the console commands.... Command: globalParameters: The identifier of a global card (1, 3..6)Description: Begins new campaign for the chosen party. The identifier undertakes from table GlobalMaps. For the present moment 3 - Axis, 4 - Allies, 6 - DemoAxis, 1 and 5 - the test. Unfortunately, to play in demo-campaign will fail - developers have cleaned from its first zone of the proof that leads to to end of campaign of seconds through five after the beginning:) Well, that certainly looks like you can start a new campaign using your elite team! I'm posting this BEFORE I test it, a bit iresponsible maybe, but hey, I live on the edge. (NOT!) I'm going to test in the next 5 mins.. here's hoping! Biggles
hmmm.. tested and it doesn't seem to quite work as planned. I started a new campaign alright, but with the 3 test characers that you get if using the editor. Novik mentions something about the 'chosen party' so I'm off to read his russian page again to see if I can find a way to 'choose' my party. Biggles
Ok... just so other peopl eknow here I've been and what I've tried. I attempted to add my units as extra paramters. I bound object_cursor to a key, and then used @out(ouc) to display the variables returned, (check the article on s2hq about summoning units for detaisl on how to do this stuff.) which I wrote down. The variables returned were the nicknames of my agents. NESIE, ABALA, OZ etc etc so I tried: global 4 NESSIE ABALA OZ but when the new campaign loaded I was given just the default 3 from the editor. (Fritz , Rocco & someone else) I give up for tonight..... maybe someone else might have an idea about how to do it.
