Garic
I was just wondering.. if you only have one guy does he get more exp?is the exp shared between all of ur team? so the more u have the less they each get? anyways.. ty in advance
G-E_M
When you look at the console when you've killed somebody you'll see that every member of your team gets some exp. You'll probably get more exp per character the less chars you have.
polo
A lone wolf would have to do what a whole team does, so would use (and boost up) all his skills quicker. So a team on the first missions may level up once while a Lone Wolf might level up by 3 or so. Does the console share xp or is it a set number? firebead
Biggles: would you clarify that? I want to restar a axis game in impossible difficulty, and want to use only 2-3 members (grenader and medic should be gone...)
ShadowHunter
Anyone know the exp for a full team when killing your first enemy? You level up right after the first kill if you solo.
Biggles
I'm really not sure. I'vbe only played the game through fully once, and I used a full squad. I was too intent on playing the game to pay much attention to the exact mechanics of XP etc.
Garic
i would test it myself but im still waiting for my copy...
G-E_M
Well, it seems like you get XP depending on how much damage you inflicted to the enemy, so you even get XP if the enemy is only hit but not dead. Every type of enemy has as set amout of XP to give to your team. This amount is devided between the members of your team and then again modified by the intelligence of each character. Which member of your team killed the enemy is unimportant, having the final shot gives no bonus xp to that character.
firebead
so fewer team members would boost the exp faster than a full team.
G-E_M
Yes, if you only have one soldier he'll gain levels considerably faster than a full squad of six, but the gained XP will be the same.
Garic
i think im going to try the game with a lone wolf... anyone recommend a class for this? the sniper is viable... but close combat might be a problem and there isnt always a good place to snipe
Alaeth
I'd go scout. With a good scoped rifle, you can snipe almost as well, plus you'll have better hide and spot. Very high dex, and medium int/str would be my starting specs. Heh, you guys are getting me excited just thinking about it...
firebead
After testing the scout and sniper, I think sniper is better at spot, a little weaker in hide, but much better in sniper skill. also, the special abilities of sniper are more useful... Garic
cool.. i was thinking scout... or engineer then get suited up with a pk
Brother 9mm
Doing lone wolf on both sides at the moment. German scout level 14 works weal well but has bucket loads of problems against PK's, Silenced SMG & Sniper Rifle wont hurt one unless ya snipe a head shot and hope for a bleed critical. Doing the Brit campaign with a sniper on impossible, level 9 but only done 3 missions. Difficulty level makes it hard to judge which is best, but I think Sniper for the pesky PK's. By the way, You go up levels much faster, like 2-3 per mission in lone wolf. But as mentioned before, it's a lot harder doing it without an engineer or medic. ShadowHunter
Without the PKs, scout would be better than snipers. But when you fight PKs you better have a lazer gun tucked away or you're in trouble On the bright side, you're going to be able to get close enough to get 100% headshot with the lazer.
