ShadowHunter
There's a leave button on the top left of your screen. You can click it almost anytime you want, except when you see enemies & when essential objectives aren't completed.
psydeath
oh so thats it? well i saved before i did that and it still has the mission there but i cant goto it againbut that doesnt make sense why they would say that i have to have all my guys at the mission exit and click beyond there it says
ShadowHunter
No idea. There IS no mission exit though, you can leave anywhere you want. Before a mission it appears as a "?" on the map, but after it's finish it's an "i". It's just to show you what clues you got there.
Biggles
I think what is happening is that you may not have all the enemies killed or all objectives complete. If that is the case you can still exit a mision, but, like it says, you must move all your men to the edge of the map and there can't be any enemies in sight. Of course, if you do leave a mission you have failed in your objective ... there is no going back!
ziffel
The other day I had a random encounter that forced me to kill unarmed civilians before it would let me leave the map. All enemy soldiers were dead, but 4 civilians kept my leave button red. They werne't hostile, and were in fact freaking out and running from my soldiers. It was a pretty gruesome execution style thing i had to do. I hope this was just a bug.
ShadowHunter
I kill civilians whenever possible :twisted:They help me train up my shooting skills & lowers the time it takes for a turn No civilians means no allied turn
firebead
I kill civilians whenever possible :twisted:They help me train up my shooting skills & lowers the time it takes for a turn No civilians means no allied turn  great idea! but does that give u any negatives? like less medals or karma? Swe_WolfPack
LOL. I would like to shoot the civilians becuase the run after me and stands in stairs and stuff and stopping my advance... One time a civilian walked in 2 seconds before an enemy got in my line of sight, the enemy did soften him up and I finished him off before killing the enemy... They are quite stupid sometimes.. I usualy try to avoid killing them. /WolfPack
Biggles
Unfortunately there are no penalties for shooting friendly civilians. i think this might be something any realism mod that is created could consider.
polo
I'd rather not have a penalty. I wouldn't mind having my medals taken off me, but any other penalty would be a bit annoying. I just label them down as casualtys of war/idiots
ShadowHunter
If they didn't get in the way so much I might've just let them live
Oddball_E8
i usually kill them cos im a mean assed guy in general...but it seems some of them are actually enemies...the ones that have a silenced pistol usually... unfortunately (for them) you can only find out once you kill them... ShadowHunter
The ones that have weapons are labelled as enemies aren't they :? And they are called armed civilians
Alaeth
I kill civilians whenever possible :twisted:They help me train up my shooting skills & lowers the time it takes for a turn No civilians means no allied turn :lol:Dude, that's just cold. I usually heal up the injured ones. Remeber we are fighting this war to liberate these people. Or some such rubbish I would like to shoot the civilians becuase the run after me and stands in stairs and stuff and stopping my advance... One time a civilian walked in 2 seconds before an enemy got in my line of sight, the enemy did soften him up and I finished him off before killing the enemy... They are quite stupid sometimes.. I usualy try to avoid killing them. /WolfPackYou can swap positions with friendly Civies... makes it easier to manuver around.
ShadowHunter
I thought the axis fight for world domination Switching positions with allies waste more AP than if you just walk/run. And they screw up the auto pathing. What civilians in their right mind would walk around in a warzone anyway? Shouldn't they be cowering in a corner?
Swe_WolfPack
Alaeth, tnx!I saw that a bit later in the same mission, I switched place with them in "non-combat-movment-thingy" :-) ShadowHunter, I had the same behavior in JA2 with civilians, they followed me around alot...
