Fulby
Both available from the ALPine Website. ALPine 2.3Major changes:Added changeline(file, search, replace) function. This searches each line of a file and replaces any matched text.Integrated automatic backup of LocalizationPack.vfs into the ALPine GUI.Plugins now display first line of their readme in the GUI listbox instead of the plugin's file name. https://fulby.v21hosting.co.uk/pics/gui23.png Stun Rod 1.4:Changed texture to add black/yellow warning stripes.Updated readme filehttps://fulby.v21hosting.co.uk/pics/stunrod5.jpg Can anyone suggest a good, cheap web hosting company in the UK? Fulby
Thanks, I think the stun rod looks better now, more than just a light grey stick you wave at the enemy Fulby
Chryssalid_Victim
Just a quick note of concern When I booted up version 2.3 I had 2 copies of Music Mod recognised one with the proper readme and one without (Just the number 1) and one recognised simply as 0. Luckily the modifications I had before still work but is there anything I can do to stop these "plugins" which don't even have .lua files from appearing? Chryssalid_Victim
Hmm now I've booted it up for the 2nd time it just has the 0, and the 2nd Music Mod has mysteriously vanished into the mist....... :dontgetit:
Slaughter
Nice Fulby! Added to the mods section. Why do you make the stunrod and morerecruits separate downloads though? They are so small that you could just as well include them in alpine as default in my opinion. Hmm, the next step now must be for Aralez to split the rebalance mod up in several small pieces, and add them as alpine plugins. Thus people could make their own mod with ease . Not that I don't want the rebalance mod as one package, but it would be cool to have the new weapons and so on as plugins as well...
Fulby
Chryssalid_Victim,If you (or anyone else) has problems like that, try deleting 'alpine.cfg' in the ALPine directory. The format for the file changed between ALPine 2.2 and ALPine 2.3 which may have been what caused the problems, but ALPine would have overwritten the file when it closed which may explain why (some of) the problem disappeared. Slaughter,The morerecruits is separate because I only made it last night after releasing ALPine 2.3. It'll be included in the next version. I probably should include the stun rod as well, I'd loose a section of the web site though Also it doesn't always get updated with new versions of ALPine. I'm still stuck on an analogue modem so I get a bit obsessive at download sizes (and upload sizes), but you're right that it should be included by default.
