This thread is only for regular reports of the coop-game-team.

 

Here are the rules and the team (atm):

 

Players in sequence of volunteering:

 

BlackAlmaz

TYR

Kret

Aralez

Slaughter (when available)

 

-Maximal one week per turn, three days preferred.

-Two missions per turn.

-New combined mod and SKILLS mod (from Kret) installed.

-Patch 1.3 installed (should be no problem)

-around 15 minutes for one mission a week needed

-around 10-20 minutes for the report needed.

-Game on HARD difficulty WITHOUT reloading, when a unit dies, it stays dead.

-NO cheats.

-wait until a new mission appears before sending the game to the next player.

-Equipment, choice of mission are at the will of the current user, a started research or development shall NOT be cancelled or changed. (suggestions can be posted in the forum, though)

-Every NEW unit can be freely given a new name, it is not allowed to rename old units. Nicks from the forum can be used :tank:

-Game will start in Europe, tutorial mission will be skipped.

 

I will act as a database, please mail me the savegame (when finished) i will make a backup and send it to the next available player. Screenshots should be sent to Slaughter he has the space to host them, i don't :D Same goes for pictures of gravestones, TYR :rolleyes:

Our first Mission for the COE

We landed in a market in some desert town about 400miles form the Egyptian borders (but to tell you the truth we don't believe in those, its push and take now days)

 

All three members took cover possessions around the out skirt of the market. no movement for a while, until something kept moving there and back...Almaz took a short cut through the market...and took cover behind a wooden obstacle. took a pick but was still unable to make out the enemy

 

-With close back up from Aralez he took a few more steps forward, and noticed a very strange weapon in the hand of what looked like a walking zombie with a tumor on its head. it was groce...teeth and eyes growing out of it. (Weapon was a warp pistol)

 

-With 3 fat burst the tumor had no time to lift its hand before being pounded back by a borage of 9mm ammo.

 

-Both Aralez and Almaz took point a block down Aralez took one (an ale way where the first enemy was spotted) corner, Almaz the open street, Kret was the team medic, he wasn't very strong so all he had was some amour and a medic kit, and knife to protect him self, he took the flank corner which was very narrow street, always in close proximate to the to other soldiers.

 

The first enemies appeared at both points that the to armed soldiers where covering, a fly with a G36 on Almaz side, and a thin mutation with a seven fifty in front of Aralez, both soldier leaned out to find more enemies incoming

 

-both fired endless burst at the enemy, 4 on both sides, one after another they walked into shooting range of the Uzi, each mutation fell back with multiple bullet holes in there body frames, blood squirting every where, a good sighn (no enemy was able to get a shot out before falling to the ground)

 

HQ said the mission was completed, (but I played on)

 

-That was all for a while...until a buzzing sound was heard by Almaz, a lonely fly was flying around, Kret seeking action him self... Ran past to Almaz, and with the fly turned around, slashed it from head to head (cause a fly has 2 heads, its own and the humans)giving him a standing ovation from both Aralez and Almaz.

 

End of mission-all players leveled up

Returned to base, 3-4 missions available

Report on 2nd Mission Monday the 5th of January 0900 CET

 

Target area: Dublin-Ireland Weather Conditions: Calm

 

A 4 men squad was designated to a secure mission into what was once

dublin the capital of ireland. The team was dropped of on a mainstreet,

heavy dust clouds of smoke and fog where lying over the city, the smell

of death was persient, before the team even had a chance to move they where

attacked by a gang of mutant dogs coming from all sides, the sound of automatic

uzi fire and shotguns did not stop for 2 minutes, each team member fired at least two full magazines as the smoke cleared there where five corpses of those creatures lying on the street, some even still moving their penetraded bodys.

 

The squadleader pointed onto a close market place, this position seemed to be easier to fortify if theres another raid, so the team moved and just as it reached the place another gang of dogs attacked, this time they did not come far, a focused shower of bullets nailed them onto the ground. The clearing continued house by house street by street, after 2 hours the sector was secured without any further siginificant resistance.

Mission 3: Monday, January 3rd 2005 - 13:14

 

The boys at the lab where "requesting" new live specimen. Like it didn't already smell bad enough with the ones they have.

 

We were dispatched to the west of Hungary, near the border with Austria, or at least what's left of both of them.

 

Aralez was designated grenadier for this mission and BlackAlmaz was issued a shotgun just in case some of the volunteering specimen didn't want to cooperate. Tyr and Kret went with an UZI and enough stardard ammo for it.

 

The drop went smooth enough, right in a parking lot in some forgotten little town. Didn't take long for some of those deformed hounds to appear. And a lot less for them to be downed. The enemies resistance was non-existant as the hounds fell rapidly thanks to the UZIs and the PUMP and a few grenades from Aralez took care of a couple of armed and one unarmed morelmen. Turned out, some of the creatures were still alive.

 

No casualties, no wounded.

3 live specimen recovered and a few corpses too.

 

Tyr has potential for grenadier training if agility improves

Aralez is eligible for scout training

Kret is eligible for soldier training

Almaz is eligible for psionic training

Mission 4.: Gibraltar around 19.00 h

 

The HQ decided to do a Search-And-Destroy mission in Gibraltar, they had info that we would need that area later. Official mission goal was 8 kills.

 

BlackAlmaz carried a shotgun and a G36, found in one of the last missions. Despite the lack of ammo (one cartridge) he carried it for the big range it had.

 

The others carried Uzis, and pistols in case of problems. All four had smokegrenades, explosives and a knife, Aralez carried a medpack.

 

The "Conventional" armour and the light helmets were standard. Noone would go without them.

 

After a qiet landing in one of the suburbs of Gibraltar, the four left the landing area hastily and searched for cover in one of the narrow sidestreets. They used the scout-tactic, where two covered the front on each side of the street and the other two covered the back. This would keep the Poppers from killing all in one big explosion. And that way they covered each other and could combine their firepower when needed.

 

And it was needed: Right after their first turn around a corner they saw a Popper running toward them. BA opened fire with hs G36 and covered the others which got into positions and together they killed the beast. The others gave BA a thumb-up and the team moved on.

 

Then Tyr realized a Chomper, but they killed it quickly without any problems. Aralez used the secondary ammo on his UZI, he made that to give the team another damage type if needed.

 

Another street. Aralez suddenly discovers a Popper far down the street and a Chomper in their back, also far away. All changed to the weapons with the longest range, BlackAlmaz to the G36, the others to the pistols. That way they killed both enemies long before the creatures could come into range.

 

But then BlackAlmaz made a terrible discovery: A morelman with a BFG4500 was standing to their right, hard on the edge of his weapons range. An yelled order and they hid behind two houses. The Morelman would pass right in their middle, hopefuly he would be surprised. But nothing happened. It was necesary for BlackAlmaz to show to the Morelman as a bait to lure him in the trap. And they succeeded!

 

Kret, doing the most damage on the target and finally killing it, run for the BFG4500 and picked it up. A huge smile apeared on his face: "Look what i found, let's hope it works"

 

They went on. Aralez discovered another Morelman (this time armed with a pistol) and to test the new weapon Kret fired at it. A huge explosion killed the Morelman with one shot and destroyed several cars close by. They all stared respectfully at the new gun, especially Kret looked a bit frightened. "Well, i guess it works" he

said quietly.

 

Another popper, another combined kill, the BFG wasn't used this time as Kret stood at an awkward angle and couldn't shoot.

 

Short after that the team almost ran into a trap. A popper and a chomper attacked from the front, when suddenly a Morelman and a second Popper appeared in their back. The "four-corner-tactic" prooved succesful again. And the BFG, too.

 

In no time the "doggies" were dead. HQ told them to return as the mission was officialy declared fulfilled. But BlackAlmaz had some killing-fun with the unarmed Morelman before they returned. :devil: They grinned at each other and went for the waiting chopper.

 

Mission state: Success! 11 transgenants killed.

 

New weapons aquired: One BFG4500 and a pistol.

 

2 soldiers levelled up: Kret and BlackAlmaz

 

3 (!) new missions popped up, one of them being the first base mission !

Located In Gibraltar, where the former mission had been. The others in Thule, close to the north pole and the other in Istanbul, Turkey.

 

Back in base all weapons were put in the armoury.

This be our 5 mission

 

All the troops slide down the ropes coming from the Chinook.

It was dense forest. All tropes took cover behind a tree...soon dogs appeared and lots of them...every armed with an Uzi except Almaz, opened fire ass soon as they came close. left and right and with the share density of numbers. it was almost impossible to hold the line...Almaz gave support to those that reloaded

 

Almost 2 poppers broke through stopped at the last moment,. By kret..With his heroic pistol/smg skills. Once the dogs were put down, Almaz went out in search of anything else left living. There rest of the team cooled there Uzi's.

 

It wasn't long until a small roster was found holding grenades... the poor buger was shot several times until it fell to the ground

Nothing much changed since i played the last time, research of ufo radar just got completed, and we also have a new soldier called mr. sektoid yay!

 

The sixth mission lead to France, due to its close location to england which should get another base mission. An enemy installation should be destroyed which seemed an simple task, at this time still 3 men dropped in a small village just in what was once a cafe, but there was no time to have a drink really we had a job to be done. The team formed a line and walked down the main road, very soon we met light resistance of chompers and tumorheads, but thanks to the bfg the team had an easy walk, they still lacked of ammo for Assault rifle weaponary.

 

There was no real threat to our forces so the installation was destroyed within minutes, and since we got some more jobs todo the evac was quick.

 

6 enemys downed no wounded no casualities.

 

As hoped a new base mission at london poped up...

 

Mr. Sektoid Joined the global defense forces :rolleyes:

 

Missio Seven:

Since there were 4 missions now 2 unimporant somewhere in the arctic and at rhodos i decided to go on for gibraltar base mission. The 4 men team was heavily equipped with ammo and weaponary and ready for some serious action.

The team dropped at the outter perimetter of the village, quickly splitted up into two teams securing the closest edges waiting for an attack.. Nothing happened so we moved into the streets heading north to the abandoned base. Shortly after we met light resistance of 2 chompers and 2 tumorheads, quickly punished. No significant resistance until we reached the border wall of the base, suddenly six mutants jumped out of the gate, all four men fired with everything they had, without the bfg we would have been in serious trouble, even the armament to the enemy was inferior, but their numbers where threatening us badly. The combat camera on the chinhook made this photo .

Thanks to Tyrs skill with the bfg no mutant reached closecombat range.

 

The base entrance was clear we moved in...

 

The goal was to take out 6 transgenants, seemed fairly easy, to easy...

Tyr and Aralez moved into the first room as two tumourheads opened fire on them, both men imediatley gave them a full burst, tyr got hit several times by an ak47 and a glock, heavily wounded he went down but took down both of them with a single shot of the bfg. Emediatley the reinforces arrived and secured the room while mr. sektoid did his best to seal the bleeding wounds of tyr, luckily it looked worser than it was, so the team continued on cleaning the base, several single mutants where killed without any further important things to happen.

 

Overall 16 downed enemys 1 men wounded in action (1d19h retired) looks like we got our first purple heart bearer :tank:

Tyr aralez and Black made a new level, increased agility on all of them.

Gibraltar base now secured, recieved a decend ammount of G3 ammo

plus a Ak101 with ammo. Sugesting next missions are BRNO and then London

base. Since London just became high it still has some time, brno for sure not.

7th mission - Capture live specimen

 

Kret was just a few hours away from completing the training, so I decided to wait for this before going to a mission.

 

Went on another capture mission over to Crete. While in flight a lab UFO made showed up and interceptors were sent. We were informed that the pilots failed but rescue beacon was active near Riga, maybe one survived?

 

The mission: fairly easy, just encountered a morelman and a flapper and dragged the morelman back to the pick up point. Make sure you take a nice bath Aralez :rolleyes:

 

Good news was that COE troops managed to secure Brno while we were recovering specimens.

 

We recieved orders to procede directly to rescue the stranded pilot as he might have some insight about UFO dogfights

8th mission - Rescue stranded pilot

 

Terrain is hill type with an average distribution of trees.

 

The usual enemies, a flapper, some apoc-spitters, morelmen, a cudgel and... WTH is that? What? There's two of them? 2 bizzare 3 legged creatures (even tho later it turned out to have many more legs and other body parts) made their appearance and started attacking from quite a distance. They didn't manage to hit any of the men, but wouldn't want to find out what would happend if they did. While Aralez and Almaz took care of the "humanoid" transgenants with some backup from Mr Sectoid, Kret was to take care of the two abominations with the BFG. The pilot was glad to know that those big explosions were from friendly units.

 

Roll in the bunch of good news:

- Riga and Kiev where secured by COE troops

- We're now in possesion of some molotovs and flashbangs (5 each), a Jackhammer, a Sawnoff and some other stash too

- Tyr has made a full recovery and seems eager to do some payback

- CEO has mentioned that we should try to locate the base known to be situated in the US Area-51

- The Twilight and fall research was completed and now the Goodwill campaing is being prepared

 

Mr Sectoid is a candidate for a Science officer, but will require some improvement in perception to reach this.

 

- The chopper is currently located at Berlin

- Paris, Riga and Brno have been turned into Manufacturing sites

- 2 base missions are available, one in London, the other in Rome and there's the 3rd possible mission further up north.

Report: Mission 1: Base aassault and Mission 2: Destroy important target

 

Loss of one unit in last mission.

 

Details:

 

HQ decided to have a go at the (soon-to-be)base in London.

 

Team:

 

Aralez (G3, Double-barreled Shotgun)

BlackAlmaz (AK47)

Sectoid (AK47)

Kret (BFG4500+Scorpion) + 2x C4

Tyr (Jackhammer, Desert Eagle) + medium armour

 

The team had just taken off, when HQ reported a new recruit.

As firepower was needed at this mission, the team returned and picked up Slaughter, a huge and slow muton.

He was given a chainsaw and a FN-Fal.

The team took off again. A new mission was reported (Area-51).

 

Sunday, 9th January 2005, 23:34

 

The team landed in a small garden, where a nice ad-shield greeted them with the words "The police will protect you". Aralez smiled a bit seeing this.

He couldn't smile for long. The team left the landing zone and entered a huge place. Recon pic

A Plecton and two Flappers were there, but not for long. The newbies in the team (Slaughter and Secto) were allowed to finish off the birdmutants, the others killed the Plecton. A third Flapper appeared and the new guys killed it right away.

Thinking this would be an easy mission the team gathered and moved on. After they passed a jeep close to the fence of the base, a morelman was killed and looted by BlackAlmaz. He finished the unconscious Morelman with the chainsaw, the picked up the ammo for his gun.

Tyr, the best thrower, made a hole in the wall to shorten the way to the base entry.The C4 charge did not only made the wall collapse but also destroyed a bus, a huge explosion followed.

 

Behind the hole a Plecton and a Morelman with a M4 waited, but they soon learned that they had no chance. In the hard way. The team switched to burstmode when possible and healed smaller wounds. Then they entered the base.

 

Inside the base:

 

6 kills are the official mission target.

And again, this sounded easy, but it was far from that.

The team splitted in two groups. Soon one of the troops was attacked by a Cudgel with a rifle, Tyr was hit during the following fight. The Morelman went down.

The other group entered a storage room and was also surprised. 2 Sporeblowers, a Cudgel with a G3 and two Spitters attacked !!! They managed to kill all enemies, but Secto was badly injured and fell unconscious. Kret saved the day by throwing a C4 into the enemy groups middle. Slaughter then healed all of his group and they went on.

 

The first group had killed two other Spitters, one of them came face-to-face with Aralez, but the team killed them easily.

 

Mission end.

 

A M4, AK47's, a Neostad, a RPG-7 and a brand-new base were won. And a new medium armour was found, too.

Aralez and Secto levelled up, three guys went to training.

 

Berlin base was converted into a research base. Sporeblowers are the first research item. Development of Goodwill-campaign was ready, laser-weapons are the new engineer-item.

 

Thule mission was lost by the CoE troops sadly.

 

Kret and Slaughter went on an very easy-looking mission. The target was an "important" object, normally this kind of mission is harmless.

 

But this one wasn't ! Shortly after the landing a Popper and a Morelman with a BFG4500 attacked the team. Thx to the lightning-fast Kret the team could go on and also pick up the second BFG. But the aliens weren't finished yet. Two new poppers, a Slimethrower and another Morelman attacked. All were killed after some intensive fights. The team was hit, but only lightly wounded. The team went on and suddenly "Bzz-Bzz-Bzz" a Lurkergun shot killed Slaughter !!!

Kret could jump into safety, but the Muton was dead.

Kret was unsure, should he proceed or should he abandon the mission? An attack of another Morelman and a Slimethrower forced him into action. He fought his way almost to the target, when suddenly a Popper stood directly before him ! He dropped his BFG and killed it with his knife. The Popper had been too close and had tried to bite him, that way Kret was saved.

Directly after that he saw a Morelman and killed it before it could react. Kret as very surprised to find the Lurkergun in the remains of the alien.

 

Another Chomper and a Popper attacked, but the mission was fulfilled easily. The Lurkergun was of no use, as it had to be researched first.

 

Kret levelled up. 2 new recruits showed up when he returned. "Troll" and a nice girl called "Shagpuss", which went right into sniper training.

A new mission showed up when a scout ufo was shot down.

the 12th mission was a base, as we landed

we were surrounded by flys and mormens, with high powerd weapons, and a large fluber thing--after fighting our way out. one medic kit was used up....we had clear passdge to base form there on,

 

risistance inside where to flubbers, and 2 X popper and a dog

lobbing nades over the walls was a shore thing..as Tyr used all his nades..a small suprise came from the rear, but aralez was ready covering our flanks..shots were heard....from a weapon niot used so far (OICW) soon after "enemy down" was heard in the mic

 

the team moved into the base.....

pam ans sheg open the first door to find a tumer, shag got the kill, pam went around the corner to find a skiny with acid nades...the damn thing comited sucide, and took pam along

 

teams changed, kret and troll, shagpuss coverd a gym, were a skiny was spoted with a stinger

 

Almaz-Aralaz moved down a long hall way to a hanger, and stoped and waited for other teams to reach the area

 

kret run around like crazy, killing to trumers with his deagle, but was injured as a nades went of nearby...the only medickits working were with aralez- but the fastest way to kret was through the hanger, Almaz opens the door, to find 3 tumers with g3, and a fal, running back for cover, aralez did the same, in the toilets :rolleyes:

one by one they came into aralez snap and almaz's burst range, Almaz got the kills

but before aralez had to move, troll opend a door to find 3 boggys, one spitter, killed with no problem, and a tumer, with a skiny, all taken down with fast shots of the jackhammer, All clear was sounded shortly after

 

the base power was quicle turned on and a choper suplied, kret was in sick bay, amd almaz went for sniper trainging...i waited for ket to get out..cause his the fastest we have

 

our little alian friend seems to have realy god medical skills

so his our medic from now on skill(excellent)

 

once all up

we were of into the LA desert

 

the tripp took almost 2 days, god knows how much fuel we used

we landed at the outskirts of the base only to find 3 very strange red alians in front of us firing waht seemd like laser pistols...but all we felt was a wrom touch...they almost didnt harm us...the hall team fired at the treat, seconds latter only round shinny circles surounded there unconcies bodysm,

almaz went first, to the gaurd booth infront of the base, soon to more grys were squickly put down

 

kret ran around the base like a ghost trying to scout out any othere threats

non were found..the place seemd to be very weackly protected

the story wasnt the same in the underground levels, almost all the doors were locked, Tyr took the right side and secured a caredor there, almaz went for the right side only to find an alian holding a very strange weapon (plasma) he head behing a corner and figured out that those weapons cant hit consiled targets, shagpuss, and aralez stood in a line waiting for targets, as almaz played cat and mouse, 3 alians were taken out of action, than each door down that caridor, was coverd by at least 1 soldiers, as kert went for the last door on the left hand side of the base..he loured 2 greys that saw him run past opend doors,

 

the alians were ambushed and thats the end of that,

kret had a free run to the files,

once he got back, the sweep of the base began, but before any one could movem, burst of fire rang out from a g3, Tyr g3, he wasted 2 clips to down 2 alians

the soldiers moved out...clearing room, by room, troll got the first kill and almaz the second,

mr sectoid was buzy running around with 2 medic kits healling every one...but almaz was left in sick bay, and 7 soldiers leveld up at least once

 

the research is now on ufo access, and developing plasma operation

(some one did a ufo mission)

Mission 16:

 

Mission type: Salvage UFO (2 stage)

 

Squad members:

- Kret

- Aralez

- Secto

- Shaggpuss

- Patrick (nick open for suggestions)

- Frank (new recruit and same as above)

- Black Almaz

- Tyr

- Marilyn

- Troll

 

Log:

 

We departed from Tripoli with only 6 members in our team, but picked Black Almaz on the way from Istanbul after he made a full recovery. Reports came in that CoE troops failed both the african and arabian available missions. Another report informed us that our lab boys found a way to enter the UFO and that we were to test this at the crash site. So now we were gonna fight the enemy in new territory: Inside an UFO.

 

Part 1:

We landed south of the UFO crash point and the entire team took positions. It was quiet, very quiet, but we needed to reach the UFO and so we moved on. The UFO was just a few meters away and we haven't found any resistance at all. After repositioning at the alien entry point we succesfully entered the UFO.

 

Part 2:

We started in a strange room, part of the UFO seemed alive and somehow "watching" us. The team took positions again and the 1st alien was discovered. Frank started firing bursts of SuperStriker grenades while Patrik and Kret fired their Lurker guns. The alien was downed but after it did serious damage with just one shot to both Frank and Black Almaz, luckely Secto applyied it's medical knollege to them. Aralez, Frank and Shaggpuss scouted the eastern wing of the ship while the others covered the 1st room. Frank spotted the aliens and with 2 tactical shots from Aralez nothing else remained alive.

 

There's only one mission remaining at nothern Scotland

 

Chinook is currently located at Kiev.

 

I suggest whe change the current undergoing Plasma weapons research and start the in-base teleport one. Currently in the save I'm sending to Aralez the Plasma research is still active.

Report 17:

 

The three new units received nicks: Marylin was renamed Matri, Frank (as he had a Lurkergun) was named Lurker, and Frank, as he had lots of grenades and exploding stuff with him, was named BombBloke.

 

Sent seven guys out on a area clearance mission in Scotland, under them the newbies. The target area was a rocky area with a few trees. But the enemy came in big numbers for that small area. The newbies killed most of them, covered by the old units, which took part only when things seemed to go awry.

 

13 kills, 10 or more of them Sporeblowers, strangely no level-ups for the crew.

All in all an easy mission, but with lot's of enemies for the small area.

 

Research was finished (Base-teleportation), switched back to Plasma-weapons as it was almost finished (68%).

 

4 new missions popped up (one triggered by the Scottish mission):

 

-Nordvik

-Wostok (Antarctica)

-Berlin (recon)

-Norway (basemission at Trondheim)

 

HQ decided to send the new units ALONE to a recon mission in Berlin. That way they should gain experience. But at least they sent them heavily armed.

 

Troll, Matri, Lurker (acting as a guard with his Lurkergun), BombBloke and Shagpuss entered the area and were surrounded right at the start by three Sporeblowers not too far away. But the new crew did well and got rid of the problems quickly. Another Sporeblower and a Plecton appeared, they too fell after a short firefight.

 

Mission finished. A very easy mission that could have gone the bad way if the Sporeblowers had been closer. But noone was injured or killed of our team.

 

Levelups:

 

-BombBloke raised his intelligence a bit (better Rocketlauncher-ability)

-Troll raised his strength as he was a bit weak.

 

research finished. Started plane arnament as the new topic.

 

Right before the crew arrived at home a huge UFO was discovered over the Trondheim-mission-area. Interceptors were sent to down it.

Not much time has passed this be our 18 mission...we have progressed through the ranks. But no one as fast as Kret

 

<BlackAlmaz log> "The mission was a simple base mission...recon didn't notice any thermal images of weaponry. so most of the enemy mast be organic...the word has lost all real meaning...organic...a pile of human flash mutated to the extant that its hard to believe they looked like us...it horrifies me that one day I might have to go to my home town and find nothing but rotting corpses, and walking piles bones, the undead. Seemed like all this could only be in moves...I never had trouble walking in cemeteries. But steeping out side, gives me a bad feeling. even in the deepest part of our concord territory.

 

The mission area was visible from above...new houses looked like old...it was something like Pompeii a city covered in ash, but here it was mush more horrible, than what a volcano can bring...the green light goes on, my mates slide down the ropes. I guess it my turn...it's the first time I didn't want to rush into action...no amount of spirits could take the fear away..............." log closed every one is out of the chopper

 

We started in an ally way, look left look right... nothing lets go...we went on the left side of the tactical map draw by satellite...any obstacle was either shot or blown up, cars, and walls included...

Inside the base...2 corridors...troll took one. The rest took a hall way leading to the hanger, in seconds multiple targets appeared...carrying heavy weaponry...the lurker gun ran out of ammo on burst mode, Ak, mp5, OICW fire rang out, the pile of bodies almost covered the entrance, trolls jack hammer also had not rest taking down 3 enemies

 

Once there was no movement for a while...we decided to move on...bomb bloke took point Shagpuss...went to scout out...only to find 2 enemies very close to each other...once delt with. We flew home

 

Another mission was open. after rearming and changing crews...we went to the pole....this was a easy mission...bomb bloke open up a beradge of nades...over the area. all those stupid floating green sacks of acid burst into the air...that was that...

 

4 leveled up, bomb bole in grenade training Almaz in soldier training. no one was wounded

The Mission lead us to Finnland, somewhere in the area was the crashsite of a ufo, the team was made up by 6 men, it was about 10 o clock in the mornig, and so damn cold that i couldnt await to shoot with my antimatter gun to get a little warmup. On the other hand i doubt the greys would like this either so they might stick together which makes them an easy prey, however the chinhook drooped us on a big plaza, filled up with autowrecks and burned garbage everywhere, it was quiet, just a silent wisper of the wind...

 

The team emediatley formed an defense circle awaiting an attack, 5 minutes we stood there not moving even an inch, until i ordered to split up and secure the street. Aralez and troll where sent around the block to watch our back and then head up or right flank, the others waited until they reached the next street and gave their okay, Tyr and Matri headed up to the left and secured the left flank...

 

No contact... Kret and Lurker both armed with lurkerguns took the center and headed up the mainstreet straight to the ufo, while the other two teams secured the flanks moving forward... suddenly kret and lurker encountered a small group of 3 greys just caming down the street, looked like a patrol, they where taken ouf of service with 3 shoots... Tyr and Matri catched the 4th trying to head back to the ufo... The place was clear and the team entered the ufo through the teleporter...

 

Just a few secs after we where teleported into the hull of the wreck we where attacked from two sides, matri got hit by a plasma rifle and went down, Tyr and Aralez where wounded by a 2nd plasma rifle, Aralez took him out with his lurkergun as troll left his save position and threw himself into the line of fire killing the other one trying to save matri but it was too late, he also got hit and his chest got penetrated by the plasma...

 

More aliens joined the firefight but where taken out quick... Then it was quiet, Matri and Troll where killed although Troll saved the rest of the team by sacrificing himself, hes should be awarded with the silverstar...

 

Sadly to say that even the best tactic would not have been preventing the fact that the 3 of the 4 ueberarmed soldiers where blocked by the others unable to move, this is what i hate most in this game damned ufo interiors :rolleyes:

Shortly after another ufo apeared and was downed at trondheim after our first

squadron got downed themselves, 4 missions pending the newest 2 just a stonethrow from the base at trondheim...

Mission 21 (I think...)

 

Just the typical "get rid of 'em" mission. Nothing too spectacular. Sabreur, AKA Chenjesu, joined the ranks (as requested :rolleyes:). Yet another handgunner and a LurkerGun carrier candidate.

 

Pretty much a straight-forward mission. Equiped with alien laser weapons, lurkerguns, a superstriker and a couple of short range weapons (shotguns and pistols for others) ammongst other nasty weapons the only difficulty of the mission was the high ammount of cars all over the place, perfect for nasty transgenant abushes.

 

Of the entire turn, the only thing of interest was that aircraft weapons were finally developed and now aircraft speed is in progress.

Mission report.

 

HQ sent us on an UFO mission.

 

The team consists of TYR, Kret, Lurker, BombBloke, BlackAlmaz, Sabreur and J.R. , a new guy who sounds like Daffy Duck, is slow as hell, but has very good medical capabilities.

 

Aralez is in the sickbay, Secto and Shagpuss are in the trainingcamp.

 

The crashed UFO lies in a huge crater on a mountain surrounded by some dense forest. The area is quiet. Too quiet as anyone can tell you who ever was on a hunt. There was something waiting here. The crew was equipped with the most modern weapons they could get a hold of: Lurkerguns, BFG's, Xcom weapons and lot's of explosives.

 

The team moved hastily to the entry zone as this eerie feeling was frightening them, they walked a long time without anyting happening. Suddenly they were jumped by three reticulans! The fear the team had gave them lightningfast reflexes, in almost no time they killed them. But the aliens made another attack from the side, two reticulans opened fire! J.R. and Sabreur were hit! But the armour saved them from death and the retis paid a heavy price: Death.

 

J.R. healed the wounded teammembers and then the crew entered the UFO. Everyone switched to burstmode.

Right after the teleportation process was done, the team was attacked by four retis. But the combined firepower of the team was too much for the enemy. Four dead aliens in no time, not bad. But then the team had to search the UFo, as the other aliens hid themselves. And in the result they suffered a loss!

 

BombBloke walked into an alien behind a corner, he could kill him before anything happened, but in the meantime another alien could open fire on him with his lasergun and killed him, TYR who was close to him couldn't save the poor guy. TYR shot a burst with his BFG at the reti to avenge the fallen.

 

Mission done. Lurker levelled his intelligence up, Sabreur his strength.

 

As we had a free place now, HQ sent us to a pilot recue mission. Our protests (we were low on ammo and had lost one of us) weren't succesful, HQ insisted on the mission.

 

We landed in a huge garden and stayed together, as we were somewhat depressed. And that saved our asses!

 

4 Poppers, 4 Chompers,2 Spitters, 2 Cudgels and one Chrysalliss attacked us right at the starting area. The team considered an abortion of the mission, but somehow the firepower and skill of the team overpowered the enemies.

 

A huge firefight and all the ammo later the team moved on. Theteam picked up the weapons from the fallen enemies and moved to the pilot. But that bastard refused to come out of his house before all the enemies were killed. So we did wat we had to do.

 

2 more poppers, 1 more Chomper, 1 Spitter and two more Chrysallis later and still the pilot refused to come out. He yelled: "There are more here, i know it" After a long search we found three more Chompers and killed them. Finally Peter, the pilot, came with us.

 

Kret levelled up and went into the training camp. Aralez is still wounded. BombBlokes funeral was held right after the landing.

Mission 22:

 

A Simple seek and destroy mission in the artic wasteland, i decided only to use a 4 men team since it seemed fairly simple. Tyr and Blackalmaz formed the first 2 men team, kret and shagpuss the 2nd. We encountered some blue poppers which where quickly eliminated, the whole mission was fairly easy and not more than a shooting training, 13 mutants taken out.

 

While we where fighting our fighters intercepted an laboratory ufo but lost, we recieved a pilot distress call from the area. Another squadron finally took it down over egypt. A 2nd ufo a small scout was shot down at stalingrad.

 

RDE forces lost a mission at the southern pole, while we repelled another mutant raid into our territory, the mission was to spot at least 4 species, which where done quickly, aralez got wounded though.

 

New base mission popped at moscow new recruit, new research started "dreamland archives".

Mission 26 - UFO capture (2 stage)

 

A 7 member team was formed and sent out to recover one of the UFO's that have crashed. LurkerGuns, shockers and a superstriker where issued with some other backup weapons.

 

The crash-site was located in a town so it was ideal for hide-and-peek tactics. Resistance outside was minimal, only faced 4 reticulans. Secto had some fun shocking and needling the last one.

 

The inner resistance was also minimal, 4 rets in total and Secto had a lot of fun with the "Shock-needle therapy" it was giving to the rets.

 

Mission success. Thanks to the data recovered from the captured UFO an alien base was found at El Cairo

Mission 27 - UFO capture (1 stage)

 

Another 7 member team was formed once the chopper arrived and it inmedietly departed to the 2nd UFO

 

The UFO was found in the wilderness and as expected from a small UFO, resistance was almost non-existant. 3 reticulans were eliminated with LurkerGun firepower

 

Mission success. Nothing of particular interest was recovered from the UFO.

General info:

 

- Production of enhanced light armor was started and 1 unit has been completed, a 2nd one should be near completion.

- Research on the Archives is still in progress.

- Mutant forces have been detected near Instambul

- CoE wishes to initiate the North America campaign and believe Thule is the 1st step we should take for this purpose.

- A pilot is still waiting for a rescue party to arrive.

- I would like to change at least 2 military bases to manufacture, 4 bases are fine as far as I can see for intercepting and mission deployment.

HQ decided to rescue the pilot downed close to Moscow. Six persons went on the mission.

 

The team landed on the foot of a small mountain, the scanners indicated that the pilot would be on the top of it. Three groups formed, each with one Lurkergun and a second weapon. Three or four Plectons, the same amount Slimethrowers and a lone danglefly attacked, but the insane firepower of the human team eradicated them without the slightest problem! A walk in the park would have made more trouble, the team reported back at the base. The rescued pilot, one of those cyborgs btw, was returned to the intertceptor command and thanked them for their bravery.

 

Sabreur levelled up.

2 military bases were changed into research bases.
