Ive got X-COM apocalypse however if does not seem to like working on my PC, as soon as ive installed it it decide's to die on me....I dont understand ?!?!? Vengeance Squirrel Posted March 14, 2004 Share Posted March 14, 2004 Ahhhh, the old Apocalypse problem, now that one is an ongoing saga for all of us, for all of you out there who can actually run the game, YOU ARE VERY LUCKY PEOPLE. Since i have had the game it has not worked on any of the 4 computers, it is simply one of the most incompatible games that has ever been made. This is compounded by the fact that it was designed back in the day when programs still relied quite heavily on DOS. Something i've been meaning to do for a long time is buy an old 486dx 100 or something along those lines (from ebay) and get a copy of windows 95, shouldn' cost much (if anything at all). But yeah, back you your question, I dont think there was ever an official patch to rectify this problem, if there is can someone please tell me? EDIT=I also found it in the Faq forums here. Re-Edit=I did it!YOu have to follow the instuctions from this Fourm and with the mouse tweak.it runs great,I should have looked here first!silly me.
