Raion
So, after fighting the Deathbellows, and the CarCrabs in the City, the Aliens decide to block my way! The Three Alien Bases In the first alien base fighting a few bruises came about, but one single agent had found the last alien in the base, and CAWed the alien to oblivion! May the aliens rest in peace! Still my squaddies are using their pop-guns, but they will overcome, while a couple of agents use more deadly force against the aliens.Having limited heavy weapons, since there is only one SuperStriker, and only one other (forgot the name of it) grenade launcher, and having those seemingly God-Aweful Rocker Launchers with the necessary ammo, I as Commander, will not allow my Squaddie Agents to use those Rocket Launchers -- yet! Even though the dead humans are hanging from the walls, we want the Alien Base intact, instead of blowing holes throughout the Bases! My Squaddie Agents shall overcome all obstacles! --Well, the game is usually varied!--
Aralez
Give those poor guys a break after they won those three bases, will you ?
Raion
Those crazy aliens were using different weapons now, and the team varily got out of there alive. Now, one of those bases turned into just a regular base mission.Must check my saved game to see if it is the same, as just playing from the intro. Well, another alien mission came along. They are attacking one of my bases, but all my Squaddies are in sickbay. Well!A couple of pilots to get, with my other Squaddies. I guess I will have to add heavier guns to the mix of just sniper rifles, and G3 rifles. I will blow holes through the base now! Ha, ha, ha, ha! Aralez
Don't forget the shotguns! They are awesome in close combat, especially if you hide your units two fields behind a corner. When a Ret appears, you often can kill him without him seeing you (or being able to react).
Raion
Ya, but I lost two squaddies! Mind control was used, plus I aborted the mission after killing 18 aliens. (10 aliens outside the alien spacecraft. Only two more to go, but then it was all quiet, and almost 7 o'clock in the morning. Well, I am going to cheat, perhaps, or keep going with both games. Play that mission over!I got hit. This does not look good! Naw, I just do not save in the tactical missions, usually I play the missions until I am done with the mission and back to the geosphere! Weapon chose, is another matter, only I will try others, up close and point blank!Warm-up for the Russian Mission, but there are some things, if I start over, that I would do differently with that game, but then the game probably would be different of varied anyway, if I start over from the beginning. mmmmmmmmmm.................................. I can do that if I want to, heh, he, he, heh! No, the game does not crash, but does get slow sometimes for a little bit!??
Raion
Well, I went back to previous, so the Squaddies are going in again! (Lost the second group of Squaddies the first time, and the first group, doing a couple of Battleships!) Now, I have Sigh Heads! So, so much for the first round of game! Went back, so I can try it again! Thies Does Not Look Good!! Instead of using Sandra, I am using Wu-Chien-Lien, because she is heroic in Sigh Power! They be all Level 12's if using Sandra! Well, the biomass may swallow me up anyway, on both sides, besides the two alien bases with the Russian Base also to do!Other mission is a downed pilot! I must be horrible at this game! Thies Does Not Look Good! Oh, if not saving the game while exiting, then the game hangs up, and I have to use a different method to get out of the game (Crtl-Alt-Delete with closing it out with the Task Manager??).Well, that is okay though, usually I save it, but I was making my Sigh Heads' picture, I guess! Going in!
Aralez
Hey, nice pics on that website. Keep up the reports, will you ? You'll soon find a countermeasure against that biomass, you're not lost yet. The crashes might be caused by old graphic card drivers i had the same problem and could get rid of it by updating them. Mind control--> It's bad to see an otherwise very good unit rendered almost useless when the aliens have no problems taking it over, suddenly you realize what that "Psi" value is good for
Raion
mmmmmmm........... Well, I am using not quite the newest drivers for the video, but still it has been consistent hanging there. The easiest way is the save the game, then exit, like it will, but still it should not hang up there. I have newer drivers also, but have not installed them yet. I see how the game is going now, so I may again just start over. At this time though, I have to catch up for a while with my other work, so the going will be slow. One base in South America is about to be swallowed up by the biomass, and although only playing on medium, this game has been different. But I may continue this game for awhile to see where it goes, but then usually I just start over. So------------- The game got me again, I guess! Raion
Well, I lost two Squaddies, but got the Aliens - or should I say --- "Aliens" as the some of the Squaddies do! Well, started the same game over, but now it is different a little! Jumps out of chair -- "Alien""I see an Alien" Theis does not look good! Raion
Oh, I forgot the command to take pictures during the game - and can not at this time -- find my manual. So, I am just hitting Alt-PrintScrn, and going to the Paint Shop Pro 7 program (out of the game) and saving the file as a *.jpg file. The other way yields better pictures, but for the life of me, I can not remember the command and can not find my manual. I guess I better get some work done, although I restarted that same game. But then, it probably will be different.
Aralez
Jumps out of chair -- "Alien""I see an Alien" Theis does not look good! Now wait until you'll use the Tough-Alien-Mod, then you REALLY will fear them!
Raion
I started over again. But say it is the same setup game (like medium) but started from the saved game, and after playing the game for awhile. I have three research show up in the start of the game, that should not be there, like the game is not clearing memory, and reading it from the old game, that I just quit playing. I quit the game, and restart the game, and then load up the game to start again, then those 3 research items are not in the game then. Advance UFO Detectionand another 2 in the Not ready to research part of the Research screen. Corruption of the memory in the game, and perhaps a memory leak? (don't know). I got the No Save to work while quiting the game, though, but I had to press it twice then Quit the game (??) I can't say that it crashes though! I probably am not that good to play that Tough Mod yet!
Aralez
Me sometimes neither. It was thought as an ultimate level, for those "Master-players" that lost fun playing UFOAM because it's too easy for them, even on hard. At the start of playing UFOAM i had lots of troubles, too. One has to learn some tactics and soon you'll master the game.
Raion
Sometimes, one has to just hang in there: https://dimensionalcitizen.tripod.com/goingin.html A little scenary!

BlackAlmaz
i have seen a few things no one else has seen...i have uploaded a few ublocks into milkshape..and have found a few more easter eggs....ohh i think i can get that OICW from the base into the game..plus it has a seprate skin
Aralez
I always wondered why they added that models to the bases and didn't use it in the game....
Cap'n Kyth
I -ALWAYS- level up Willpower to the maximum near the start. It has VERY beneficial effects on: RiflesMarksmanshipPsi PowerHealth And also somewhat improves:Capacity My Spetznaz has max untrained Willpower, and he is damn AWESOME. He rarely ever misses, with around 50% on burst and usually 99% on Aimed except at long range which drops to around 80%. Ph34r t3h Sp3tzn4z. EDIT: He's also by far the strongest, able to carry Berserk Armour AND a Hybrid Laser AND four batteries for it and having under 100% capacity. His speed is like "Very Fast" most of the time. He is damn AWESOME. Mutey's a bugger for soaking and dealing heavy fire. He does love his Laser Gatling.
Aralez
I raise willpower first, too. No other skill is more useful at the start. The laser gatling was fnurg's idea, he deserves a big thx for that weapon
