Snikers
Hey, just got my first much-anticipated Russian base mission...haven't done it yet, but I know rocklet launchers will be big, just from this board (don't worry about me...I've got some artillery of my own! ). Anyways, I just got to thinking about dealing with rocket-crazy reticulans, and I got to thinking, what if you charge them? As in, what happens if you have a VERY GOOD speed character just go nuts, throw caution to the wind and run straight at the alien? I have the impression the first missile will probably go right by (based on the crosshairs that seem to appear on the GROUND...) and when you get within the rocket's blast radius...what? I have recollections of staring down blaster carriers in XCOM, just because I'm too close...good times.
DarkWolf
well if you charge them, well i do this on the 1st part of the 1st mission.. well charge them when you are outside the wall, but do not charge inside. make a hole in the wall of the base and get them from there or send a super close range damage dealer.... Aralez
Actually the tactic you suggested works partiallly. If you are close enough to a rocket-wielding reticulan, chances are he won't shoot.
Cpl. Facehugger
But if he has a microslug wielding friend, your CQB specialist is most probably dead.
