Fun Thing I Like To Do

On base recovery missions, I have found something that is so very simple yet puts enjoyment back into capturing bases. Get a guy with high rifles and high aliens skill and give him a Neostead and give him some decent armor. Then get a medic preferably with SPOILER medikits and enter the base. Then get in the closest zoom for nice graphical detail and solo the whole interior with shotgun sam, with medic as support if it gets bad (I do it without a medic but the shotgunner has SPOILER armor and is level 16 )

 

Some challenges to try are to take a Elimate 10 transgenants base missions with nothing but a Desert Eagle, or other pistol. But save first

Yeah, I like to do the basemissions with the shotgun too . I'll add it here if I remember other fun stuff to do.

Do an alien base mission with nothing but a guy with a minigun.

Do any tactical mission (without saving!) with the start equipment in hard difficulty level. I once made a savegame without unlimited weapons and grenades and tried to play a whole game without saving during playing. It was VERY immersive, but after the biomass appeared i couldn't win anymore, i only could keep some bases .i think 4 Biomassrepulsors and one military. I couldn't do rersearch nd manufacturing anymore, but the Aliens couldn't kill me either. So i decided to end it.

 

Oh a nice thing to do with the Rebalance Mod 4.1 is to stun a group of Retis with the flashbang and then throw a C4-Charge on them Sweeeeeet !!
