Aggghhh Unit Responses Make Them Stop!

Hi All;

I have spent some time playing the demo that came recently and I must say that I absolutely hate the unit responses they are horrible. Also, the aliens are just plain ugly to look at some of them look like giant boogers. I am going to try playing the demo some more but I am not impressed....and I consider myself a die hard Xcom fan

Ok, unit responses can be turned off, even in the demo.

 

The aliens look like boogers you say? Well, they are hideous mutations, they aren't meant to win any beauty contests. . If you liked the ecomony in xcom more than the actual fighting, you probably won't like am, because there is no economy!

I know the aliens are supposed to be mutations but the alien models are pretty bad looking really....I think maybe they should have stuck with using sprites or voxels (thing Command and Conquer Red Alert 2). I really think the game would have turned out better if they had. Bummer....maybe someone in the Xcom mod community can fix what's wrong with this game.....

They're not actually aliens at all you know - just mutations of earth creatures. Play on a bit more to find the aliens - they're the ones who kick your arse instantly with laser weapons and wear irritatingly-effective armour

Kick my butt with laser weapons you say? Hmmph, they must not be the aliens I know then. My aliens come at me with doomsday weapons such as the microslug accelerator, psi projector, warp assault rifle, and the alien rocketlauncher

 

Well, the aliens are signifigantly different from the transgenants (who as pete said, are mostly mutations of earth based creatures in the beginning anyway) Aliens know how to use tactics more than transgenants, and aliens are a lot more trouble to kill (due to the fact that they carry much better weapons)
