One thing about this game

It just hit me, another aspect of this game that makes it so increadibly good. The weapons and the diversity of them. Most games that has a lot of weapons just have you collect them and only use about 10% or even less of them because you just use the weapon that does the most damage. Like the fallout games, Fallout Tactics not to mention, has loads of cool weapons but you end up using only the SAW, Browning .50 cal, and plasma weapons just due to the damage and range and such. I'd like to try out the other guns, but the dmg is too weak to bother.

Unlike other games UFO: AM really *makes* you have try most of the weapons because not only for damage, also type of damage and different ranges. This game is exilerating not only as a X-Com-type game, but also for ingenuity and design. Also love the ambient music :rolleyes: What do you other peeps think about it?

Yes, the variety of weapons is great. I love having all the "real" weapons as they are all useful in the correct situation.

 

I do think they need a bit of fine tuning though, as each category of weapon has a "best weapon" - they should have advantages and disadvantages (otherwise every army in the world would have the same gun!).
