Fire Control

How is firing handled in the game as far as reaction shots go.. for example.. I have 3 troopers move into view of an alien.. in Xcom1/2/3 I would be able to control each tropper and pick whether I wanted a auto/snap/aimed shot from all 3.. so if one missed i still had 2 chances to kill them (saved me many times against lobestermen  ).. now that the game is real time w/ pausing for orders... how does it work targeting and using AP's to aim. miss, re aim etc

it's different in AM.

the combat is similer to apocapypse's realtime system, but you don't have snapshots and such, some weapon have 2 firemodes, aimed and burst.

aimed - do i need to explain

burst - similer to snapshot, less acurate but moreshots = more damage. burst is exelent in close range and some of the smgs can tear down a target in secconds, whereas the rifles are mix of range and closecombat and do well in both

there are no action points, select your target and they will shoot untill it's dead, incapacitated or they run out of ammo, if your out of range they won't shoot. you get a % when your target an enemy on the chance you have to hit.

Hello, you have to rethink a little bit for this game. Cause every action you do is not counted in Actionpoints but in seconds. So i you move one of your men and an alien comes in your line of sight the game is paused. Now you can cancel you previous orders and give new ones. Each order creates a amount of seconds in the status window of the character who recieves the order. After you unpause the game the soldier trys to complete the orders you have given him and the counter counts down till it is 0 and he ask for new orders.

I hope this is not to confusing because english is not my first language.
