Griz
Good day, I am having some issue getting the screen resolution to settle down. I have tried the use_safe_refresh TRUE/FALSE flag with mixed results. FALSE gives me a blank screen with my monitor giving me a "signel out of range" error. TRUE will allow the game to load into 43 Hz Interlaced at which point I suffer mammoth eye damage and go blind. So as you can tell, neither option gives me a good game experience. I saw some posts regarding a configuration utility in the full version forum, but this utility does not seem to have been inclued in the Demo. Are there other options I can add to or set in the config.cfg file to specify a refresh rate/resolution? Can we get a copy of the configuration utility? I've been following the development for a while and really want to give this game a shot. Griz
Slaughter
I have no idea why they didn't include the config utility. Can't be that big, and it would have been well worth the extra space. I don't know if any of the other options will help you, but try playing with them. For instance, try to turn of forced 32bit mode. Will ask ALTAR about this problem tomorrow. Griz
Ok, I've done some playing around and it seems that the program that I have used to fix the "60Hz refresh bug" totally fubared my min/max frequency settings. This ain't your probem, it's mine. Still wouldn't mind that config program though. Griz
Slaughter
There is a file called config.cfg in the UFO:Aftermath folder
Griz
I was under the impression that the config utility allowed explicit screen size/refresh rate changes? Griz
Slaughter
The config utility in the full game allows changes to refresh and depth, but the only resolution is 1024*768...
