tedskee
Game is constantly crashing on various maps, cured most by clicking repair and then running again. But this one throughs up the following, ver:UFO:AM RELEASE 1.2 file:C\ufo_src\ASL\ kvfr.cpp line:1069 "GameData.vfs":uncompress error (-3) in file 02_05.ublck.............. you cannot reload patch unless you reload whole prog(which i have done)
Slaughter
I am pretty sure that error message means the main data file is corrupt. If so you need to reinstall the game...

Slaughter
Not if that wasn't working. I suggest you look in the support section of the official site. There is a very nice "interactive support form" there, and if that doesn't help, contact ALTAR support. You have the latest DirectX and graphics drivers? tedskee
I have gone through their nice tech support interactive help it suggest that I swap game with retailer (sounds like they have had a lot of these problems as they have the exact error message(strange)),,,as I have said it loads fine and runs normally untill certain missions, I did drop them an email aswell so I will see what they have to say,, I will continue to play and just delegate or ignore the missions it crashes on.I have got an FX5600 128 Ultra DX9 with the latest official nvida driver. I will post here what the outcome is. cheers for your help. :hmmm:
tedskee
Problem solved,,, Took game back and swapped it for a new one at the store, works fine now all the time... I think they have major problem with the dynamics of the game as it loads onto pc's. Lots of errors occur if there is a slight problem with the game. :alien2:
