NKF
I believe one of the problems with XED was that it was compiled on a rather old Pascal compiler. So its getting divide by zero error on initialisation in todays super fast computers. I think someone recompiled it from the source code with a more recent Pascal compiler and this fixed the divide by zero error. Though I forget where that's mentioned. It might have been on the old forums -- or another one entirely. Rather nifty program, all the same. I think the development team responsible for the editor released the source code as well, so if you are an uber-pascal programmer, well, there's a little project for you to pass a boring weekend if you can find the source files. - NKF

Bomb Bloke
For the properties of the program, make sure the extended memory access is set to Auto, or the maximum it'll go to. If that doesn't work, disable EMS.
Doctoxic
thanks - but still no luck - i get the same error message it is already the recompiled version - do i have any other alternatives? by the way will XED let me edit the game so i can move Biochemists from one base to another? could i moave Xed and a saved game to a win98 PC - edit it - and then move the save game back and it still work? thanks Doc
