Getting XED to work

indeed, ahem support forum

 

*shifts* and as the the getting it to work, if anyone has any idea i'll be interested to here them too.... *seems to recall having trouble with xed....*

I believe one of the problems with XED was that it was compiled on a rather old Pascal compiler. So its getting divide by zero error on initialisation in todays super fast computers.

 

I think someone recompiled it from the source code with a more recent Pascal compiler and this fixed the divide by zero error. Though I forget where that's mentioned. It might have been on the old forums -- or another one entirely.

 

Rather nifty program, all the same. I think the development team responsible for the editor released the source code as well, so if you are an uber-pascal programmer, well, there's a little project for you to pass a boring weekend if you can find the source files.

thanks - but still no luck - i get the same error message

 

 

it is already the recompiled version - do i have any other alternatives?

 

 

by the way will XED let me edit the game so i can move Biochemists from one base to another?

 

could i moave Xed and a saved game to a win98 PC - edit it - and then move the save game back and it still work?
