Slaughter
That is strange Sarnat. I thought this method more or less bulletproof. What exactly did you do?
Ghostrider
I have also XP and the only version of XCOM that will work is the XCOM COLLECTORS edition with a special PATCH - it is an .EXE file - YOU CAN FIND THE DETAILS on x-com.co.uk ( there is a link on the PATCH I am sure ) - If you do not have the Collectors edition you are MESSED UP . But I am sure you have it Or let this pack of NINJAS HELP YOU TO OBTAIN IT stealthy ... The PATCH CORRECTS the problem but stil sometimes you will encounter a game crash - so sve often and it is no problem . I ALSO HAVE AN OLD NOTEBOOK so I conect it to the Monitor and play it there ... COOL Hope this info helps ... Tom
Kernel
The collectors edition is the only version that works for me too on XP.Now my only problem is that my flat panel TFT screen doesn't support the screen resolution UFO and TFTD use so it cuts the top and bottom off the picture. :hmmm: Means I have to play around with my dual monitor setup to make my old 17" CRT the primary display. It's a real pain. As soon as they can get UFO and TFTD working in dosbox the better.
Mazdek
I just use an old Pentium I with Win98 on it to play the first two X-COM's. I can play Apocalypse and Interceptor under Windows 2000. Not willing to go to XP. :alien2:
