Free Ammunition Bug

When my agents return from a mission, not only is the ammunition clip/power pack etc in each weapon restored to full capacity, but it gets double counted when the list of stuff I have in stores is updated. In other words, if I take a gun on a mission and I never use it, I get a free ammunition clip when I return home.

 

Because of this bug, I have picked up ten Remington sniper rifles from armories in bases that I have taken. Each rifle came with 8-12 ammo clips, and I am using these rifles on most missions. I now have 217 clips in storage. I did wonder if they represented finds of minor caches, but the same thing has happened with my plasma shotgun and I know that the only hybrid power cells in existence are the ones that my engineers are producing.

 

I only use the MP7s for close combat against the Reticulans, but I have started putting them in my agent backpacks for every single battle, so I have plenty of MP7 ammunition for my next UFO recovery mission :laugh:

 

I am using the UK 1.1 version, I started the game in Europe on normal difficulty and I'm not using the cheat codes. I am running the game on a 1.8Ghz PC with Windows XP Home edition.

Wow Well I read your posting and tried to get the same effect but alas they must have fixed this bug in v1.3 that im running... To bad! I could care less about the ammo I can produce, but I want ammo for kick ass guns that I have run out of!
