Weapon Sets

I was playing Apoc today, when an idea hit me just as I Osiron raided me. My entire squad was kitted out with Toxiguns, which would have been no use at all against them (Or rather, a huge waste of my Toxin B). So I spent ages re-equipping them with Devastator Cannons and Entropy Launchers when I though "Why not have an option of pre-saved weapon sets to save me the bother or having to re-equip for each circumstance?"

I mean, this would apply mostly to Apoc in that situation, but if an X-Com game came up with weapons suited to different situtations, you could have an option to save your current weapon layouts, so in the case of wanting to change them, you just load one of your other sets. Saves a lot of time.

Hey, that sounds like a good idea to me.

But would it go something like this?:

Heavy Weapon setting:

-Heavy armor

-Big GUN

-heaps of ammo

-lots of Grenades

Fast Attack setting:

-Light armor

-Small guns

-Grenade

-Proximity Grenade

-Medi-Kit

Equipment setting:

-Good Armored Suit

-Rifle

-Psi-Amp

-Motion Scanner

-High Explosive

-Smoke Grenade

-Electro-Flare

-Official Strategy Guide of Metroid Prime/Metroid Fusion

Medi-Kit setting:

-Heavy armor

-Medi-Kit, Medi-Kit, Medi-Kit...

Kinda yeah.

Example, for a normal Alien attack:

Captain Gudrun Geisler: Toxigun, 3 Toxin B clips, Disruptor Armour (LA,RA,H,T,L), Boomeroid, Vortex Mine, Personal Disruptor Shield, Cloaking Device.

Sergeant Brett Bailey: Toxigun...

or for a Cult of Sirius Raid:

Captain Gudrun Geisler: Entropy Launcher, 4 Entropy pods, Disruptor Armour...

Sergeant Brett Bailey: Devastator Cannon...

The weapon set would save what weps and armour you have, and where they are. Of course, this is set for apoc, but it could be adjusted for any game, such as your suggestion Pod, for differing types of mission.
