For a personal opinion Hanky, I'd say it isn't really possible...Aliens have no social structure, they operate from a 99% hive mind. They are to all intents and purposes drone soldiers. Therefore there would be nothing to write about. No plans or tactics, no research or development, no names, let alone characters to familiarise with. I get the impression it would be very difficult.I would put up the thread though, not many people seem to have noticed this one as there is no conversation to bump it up in the active topics.Go for it! Take it as something to start thinking and discussion, as I really have no stake in what the decision is. I think to assume that there is no social structure in the alien society stems from a good guy/bad guy type of mentality. The purpose would be to make it very obvious that our way is "superior". However, just because you don't see the workings of alien society in the game doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I see no particular reason for any soldier not to be as or more capable than a human soldier. Having said this, I also don't know what descriptions have been put in for aliens. If the Veteran has said that the aliens are like this somewhere previous, then of course his description should not be revoked now. I just thought I'd put this up if this was not the case. Zager Posted February 6, 2003 Share Posted February 6, 2003 According to most of the fanfics I've read, they do. Most of them are clones, but that doesn't imply the lack of personality. There's nothing about a lack of personality in the game. And they've got plans, because they're trying to take over the world, aren't they, through use of terrorism and infiltration. The best alien to play as, though, would be a hybrid infiltrator. After all, they're seperate from the brain since they didn't lose all mental abilities upon the death of the brain.
