DragonHawk
Hey all, How do we want to handle timing for the board roleplay? Right now, if we consider each board to be going "at the same time", then McBannok is in three places at once. What I'd like to see is a bit more time control from some of the more senior or responsible members. It's going to get real ugly after, say, a sim, when the story line isn't necessarily merged with the board sim. I just wanted to start some discussion on this topic. Mouse Nightshirt
This is not happening at exactly the same time. Oh no. You can RP hop from topic to topic. And I usually check this board before I write up a sim so that it does tie somewhat
DragonHawk
Right. Well... It seems discontinuous to me. If something is happening on the board, what relation is it to the sim? For example, you people are doing the whole "coconut stand" thing in the social roleplay. Is this before or after the sim on Sunday the 20th? Do you care? Are you just going to ignore it? To be honest, I think the board's sim is going to be just a bit more used now that it's on XCTC. Some members can't make the scheduled times, so this should be a way to have them participate. I'd hate to see this part get sidelined so easily.
Mouse Nightshirt
Social roleplay should not, and will not have any bearing in the sim. All social differences, amusements and things should be left at NAO during a mission, thus the Social Roleplay has no bearing on our sims. The R&D page is for the discover in between sims, and should be based loosely on the research project in the lab. If it hasn't been updated due to RL stuff, then it should be wothin reason. Roleplay is the more serious of the sections, and as this forum is very young, it has not been tied up properly. The unfortunate fact is that most members can and/or will attend sims. I will put forward a discussion at a reasonable time to discuss this. Hopefully they will tie up nicely, but it's going to be akward for me. DragonHawk
A good many potential members cannot show at the appropriate times. I know that in the last month, I've missed probably half of the sims, 3/4 including the unofficial sims. Apparently I'm in the minority and can be ignored. Well, it seems this topic is closed then. DragonHawk
About as witty as a lame snail. CAP is "Cold Apple Pie"... heh, an acronym we use for Kitat's brother as well, so I'm not sure if he's implying that a teenage chinese youth is going to be tastier than a early twenties chinese youth...
