NoXTheRoXStaR
#2. Rise of Nations (Steam) Their official website doesn't have any of the games they originally developed because they sold the rights off or something to do with the liquidation of THQ. When you throw in a little Age of Empires, Civilization, a little bit of Risk and a little bit of Magic the Gathering? You get Rise of Nations. In the process you get one of the best RTS games of all time, which is why this is on my Tropical Island list. https://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k490/noxtheroxstar/RON_zpsmmygd7a4.jpg Headed by Brian Reynolds ^ Who has a legendary portfolio of games under his belt came Rise of Nations. So I started thinking to myself, "What other game series has 18 nations and with the inclusion of 6 more in their expansion pack Thrones and patriots? Is there any?" The only one I could think of is Civilization. What's that you say? Brian Reynolds was the lead designer of Civ 2, arguably the best strategy game of all time? We'll now you have your answer. I originally owned a physical copy of the gold version until I lent it to a former friend of mine who never game it back....Bastard. Thankfully the good folks at Skybox Labs were given the opportunity to not only re-release it on modern PC rigs, but also improve on it's dated graphics. That's a win win in my book. If you enjoy RTS/Strategy games as much as I do and you haven't played this game yet, you're doing yourself a disservice by not having this game installed on your hard drive/Steam library. If you were lucky this winter season, Steam had the Rise of Nations Extended Edition on sale for a measly $ 4.99. -NoX
NoXTheRoXStaR
#1. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Bethesda Softworks) You know you're addicted to a game when you meant to say Cocaine and you wind up saying Skooma. I own 3 copies of this game (PC,PS3,Xbox360) and between them I've probably spent over or close to 1500 hours. https://www.mobygames.com/images/covers/l/231760-the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-windows-front-cover.jpg My favorite character of course was playing as a sneak thief Wood Elf (Bow 'n Arrow, Dagger Combo). I use to steal stuff and hock them between Riverwood, Whiterun and Riften. After progressing through the story and leveling my character, as some of you know the dragons appear more frequently. For whatever reason the dragons always seemed to attack when I was in the town of Riverwood, needless to say there was a LOT of NPC deaths. After about the 15th attack the entire town was dead minus the two kids and the innkeeper at the Sleeping Giant, other than that the place was a necropolis. With the amount of dedication modders have done with this game it's no surprise really why many gamers consider this to be one of the best games of all time. -NoX
Space Voyager
Ok, why 3 copies?
NoXTheRoXStaR
Ok, why 3 copies? My first copy was just the vanilla 360 version which I thought I had misplaced and found a couple years later. The second was the PS3 Legendary version which my brother in-law bought me for Christmas, and the PC version I bought because I wanted to mod.
