Wormfist
It's not much, but it just might help... Go to your apoc .exe file, rightclick on it, properties. From there choose the tabpage 'Compatibility', and there choose: 'Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 98' (try win95 too). I solved more than one problem this way, not for apoc though... - Wormfist
Closey
I've got the same problem as Brattern with this game, and the compatibility doesn't help. At least not for me. I had a problem with the audio in the intro as well, but VDMsound helped with that. I haven't really been trying to get it to work a lot since then, so still no solution. Brattern
i've downloaded vdmsound and installed it but nothing happened . my problem isn't really the intro(it is choppy but i don't care) but it is after the intro is finished i've got trouble, right after it has finished the game crashes. i can't even get the menu i got win xp, xp7000+, 512 ddr ram and nvidia geforce 2 Ti. could it be any conflicts with my hardware & the game??? this week i got X-COM 1 & 2 working but i want to play X-COM Apocalypse. i'm in great need of help, so please help me :alien2:
Brattern
i got it to work but you guys wont like the way i made it i downloaded a crack, and vdmsound, smashed it together BANGit worked I'm so good!!!!
Closey
A crack fixed it? That's odd. Is it the copy protection that makes it crash? I wouldn't mind having that crack.
Alan
probably due to win2k not liking proggies which try to directly access HDD/CD and the crack must somehow make it not do this...
Brattern
i'v found the crack on Megagames you need vdmsound to make the sound work, it's a bit tricky but i'll bet you guys uot there can do it.
