Mouse Nightshirt
I was looking thru gamespot for some X-Com stuff, and I came across one of their top 10s, this on was for the most dissapointing endings (https://www.gamespot.com/features/tenspot_badendings/11.html) Apoc got the number one spot, lol
NKF
That final 'yes' ruined everything. At least if there was a bit of a roar and a cheer in the background, even a couple of muted 'Jolly good show''s would've worked. As someone on this forum said, it was probably just the commander sitting in the comm room alone, talking to himself. Not a bad ending per se. At least the condition of squad members is left at somewhat a cliffhanger. They could be alive and well, or dead but were able to get the ship to transmit a victory message. In TFTD your much loved troops were obviously blown to bits. Oh sure you saved the world (well, technically speaking) and the soldiers became martyrs and blah blah blah. But it's still a bit of a let down. - NKF

Bomb Bloke
I thought the ending to Magic Carpet was worse. Especially when I found out that the sequal used the same terrible FMV file. Anyone who played through all 50 levels of Magic Carpet (a great ride in itself), in order to see a half-second movie file, will know the feeling of dissapointment. Psy Guy
I don't see how its the worse ending. The "we kicked there ass" statement was done in a proud yet professional manner and it sounded fine to me. That "yes" was kinda stupid but its the only bad part about it.
Pete
It sure beats the "You've won the game. Congratulations" text you tend to get sometimes in games.
Pruimpje
You should see the end of Enter the Matrix. It hasn't even got one!
