Marutia Ortia
BM-21 Battery – weapon of war, which is enormously widespread and capable of creating some real havoc, at least against lightly armored targets. https://www.warcabinet.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/bm21u_grad.jpg BM- 21 battery is consisted of eighteen forty-tube 122mm rocket launchers and they could bomb enemy positions with 720 rounds of non-persistent Sarin or Hydrogen Cyanide in a single 20 second salvo, reload and replicate that strike 10 minutes later. BM-21 Battery used in War Cabinet Game is suitable for surprise attack against troop concentrations, strong points and command centers. How would you counter BM-21 Battery? NoXTheRoXStaR
As long as Submarines exist, they're will always be surprise attacks Especially when the Sub happens to be capable of delivering a nuclear payload. https://ipnspace.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/399073-1280x800-blowing-ballast-tanks2.jpg?w=300&h=187 You didn't specify by what means....Ground, Air, Sea..... Space Voyager
Isn't there a more or less world-wide listening network of underwater sensors, probably several of them?
NikiAlex
I'm know that such network war build by NATO between Greenland and Iceland and from their to Britain to track soviet subs entering Atlantic. That's why using under ice sneaking was preferred move by the Soviets.Such network give you some sort of intelligence, but not telling you much anyway, you know that subs have passed, but after that you need to find exact location to mitigate the thread. This is why the subs are considered so dangerous, because of their stealth and ability to deliver devastating strike right next from your backyard. silencer_pl
And the stealth technology that is used in aircraft is also being used in subs too.

NikiAlex
We tried with strikes from above. It worked very fine Used these birds: https://www.warcabinet.net/gallery/early-alpha-screenshots/a-7-corsair/Air strikes are probably the most efficent counter against long range artillery. Yet first you need to find it.
