Doctoxic
The description of Disruptor Bomb Launchers doesn't say they are ground target only - but it does compare it to the Retribution missile which is. I'm confused What do you recommend i load up on my anniolators wheni send them to the alien dimension? thanks Doctoxic
NKF
They can hit air targets. Rather well, too. The retribution and justice launchers fire slow moving, long range and powerful explosives. They can be fired at air targets, but it's easy for them to miss. Also, unlike the disrupter inversion launcher, which can carry 50 rockets, the justice and retribution launchers can only carry 1 rocket. This seriously reduces their usefulness to hitting slow moving or immobile ground targets that really cannot dodge them, since you don't want that rocket to miss. As for your trek into the alien dimension, the compulsory kit for an Annihilators would normally include one large disrupter gun, multiple shields (two large, three small, or six small), and two side weapons of your choice. Most people like twin medium disrupter beams, and others like to use combinations of disrupter inversion rockets and disrupters. You may even want to make one Annihilators carry one or two stasis launchers. Just remember to disable them and fire them only when you want them to, or else the AI will just waste them on targets that are already in stasis. As for misc modules, well, you don't need them. But if you want to use them anyway: you could try and have one Annihilator swap out a small shield and carry a missile jammer. If you can afford to lose one or two guns, you could also install plasma missile defense guns - though the disrupter inversion bombs are a bit too fast for the defense guns to 'kill' fast enough. But if the missiles get jammed and spin around your ship once or twice, the defence guns should have a chance at knocking them out. I'd probably only have one anti-missile annihilator, and not kit the entire fleet this way. You can, but it's somewhat impractical. - NKF
