Hi!

 

My name is Peter Norberg and together with my brother I'm working on the indie title Rising Empires for Android. It's a 4x strategy game in a fantasy setting. We started working on Rising Empires for about two years ago and are now in the middle of our open beta test. Both of us lives in Sweden although one at the west coast and one at the east coast...

One beta player recently wrote this about Rising Empires:

This is the first functional 4X game built for Android that I have seen, but it is so much more than that, too. It is something much rarer than a mere first. It is truly engaging. This game offers interesting challenges and a fascinating world background; a unique slant on imperial religions; and a worthwhile learning curve, among many other virtues.

The first review of our Android game Rising Empires was published yesterday by the web magazine Hardcore Droid. They give it a score of 4.8 out of the maximum 5. ‘The amount of depth and detail surpasses many PC strategy games and is startling on a mobile device.’ The review looks deep into the mechanics of Rising Empires and concludes that ‘You’ll be hard pressed to find a mobile game that tackles the subgenre with greater success.’.
