Nightshade
Poor little overspawn, they would have 2 be one of the stupidest aliens there is, they're like an old man wandering around aimlessly. If I were one I'd throw trees at the ships that were attacking me, then throw bits of buildings at other buildings.
Ki-tat Chung
i wish they would go where i waNT them to go. i.e. they people who are hostile to me. then they would want compensation and we would be neutral again until the next time i attack the aliens... Nightshade
I wonder if there is a psi unit thats so powerful that it can control an overspawn. How cool would that be?
Bomb Bloke
Ha! Set one up in your base... "Ok, Sarge, I'm just going to the psi room." "Why is that Overspawn doing the macarena? "
Rattler
I so rarly see Overspawns and I have no clue why. I wish the aliens would go on more "wipe-the-city-from-the-earth" sprees. Then you see some REAL damage. Woudl be cool if UFOs could crash into buildings too.
Nightshade
Nor if they crashed into your building which is what I assume they would probably do. (damn suicidal aliens and their suicide runs) That is so funny 2 watch, an alien ship takes the biggest hammering u can receive but still has enough life to carefully park the ship by the road. I have seen one land/crash on top of a luxury residential building though. (didn't do any damage)
Bomb Bloke
They just seem to float down, bouncing merrily as they go... :alien2: : Argh! We're going to hit that skyscraper! * BOUNCE *
Ki-tat Chung
i've had ufo's land on buildings. the map is exactly the same. man, i wish they put more effort into the ufo maps... (btw, do you think eva's can be powered by elurium? i mean, it is more effective than even nuclear units...but not sure if its better than the o2 or whatever power unit...) penchant
i've had ufo's land on buildings. the map is exactly the same. man, i wish they put more effort into the ufo maps...Seconded! Recovery missions quickly become very samey. The original game's seek and destroy format was better.(btw, do you think eva's can be powered by elurium? i mean, it is more effective than even nuclear units...but not sure if its better than the o2 or whatever power unit...)This is one of those questions that I have puzzled over for a while: What's eva? Bomb Bloke
Anime. Neon Genesis: Evangelion (And yes, the Eva's are neon, but I don't think that's actually got anything to do with the title). Eva's are big chunky almost-robot clones things of Angels (which are also generally big and chunky, at least in this series). You ever seen the Gundams? Evas are big enough to play with them like toys. The obvious step is to get children to play with them, but I digress. The things have to have cables to power them. They have big cables. Oh yeah. But when these ineventibley break, they go to battery power, which lasts three minutes (well... officially it's three minutes if the activity level is low, but it tends to be three minutes of franticly trying to win whatever battle is going on). Kitat is wondering what effect elerium would have. Apoc was going to have craft in the maps at one point, but they took it out. Stupid unfinished release. https://www.angelfire.com/games3/jeffy90/images/smilies/sad.gif
Ki-tat Chung
yeah, the final evas, the ones seal used to create the apocalypse (see? it is related to x-com!) were using some unit called o2 or something. but i have onething to point out. i don't know exactly how gundams scale with a human (about a belt buckle? don't gundam pilots sit in the belt buckle place?), but i di remember eva-01 holding that angel/human (i fonget the name and number of the angel) in it's fist. how does that work, huh? at most, eva's, using that scale, are just a bit bigger than a gundam. and the power of a gundam is enormous, depending on which series you talk about. me, i talk about the wing series. i havn't watched the MS series (the older ones that is). penchant
Ah, thank you, I think I understand now.
Bomb Bloke
The gundams I saw would be roughly just larger then half the height of an Eva. I have seen some big transformers. I haven't watched much Gundum at all.
