Mouse Nightshirt
I think I've asked this before, but I'll ask again, do you ever use the E.T.? I use it when raiding COS or any other human organisation, as it disposes of them pretty quickly. Only prob is that it is ammo heavy with only 3 shots a pod. dwilkie
Only problem with it is that you can't nick their armour and things...
The Demi-Godly One
I don't think it's worth it. I just find it to destructive against the already easy humans, I mean, it destroys their equipment. (But then again, this is coming from a guy who uses autocannons through the whole game)
NKF
I find them to be bloody brilliant! Well, in a "Let's just blow them to kingdom come!" way. As has been observed, it's rather useless for recovering objects -- their sole purpose is to eat away at the durability of anything in your inventory until they're destroyed. Each missile chews away almost 1/3rd of a disrupter shield. That's nothing to sneeze at! Just be thankful it doesn't sap shield energy as rapidly as the Dimension Destabiliser (disabled weapon -- a X-Com automatic disrupter gun that only does damage to shields). That would've been a very good replacement for the toxigun despite functioning in an almost opposite manner... But I digress. Early on, the entropy launcher is not really that useful, as you have a real hard time getting by as it is with your limited resources. Everything salvaged from the battle is worth every penny. Later, once you reach the point where money is no longer an issue, you have more equipment than you'll ever need, and have a handful of workshops churning disrupter shields out constantly, you can always afford to be a little gratuitous. By then, the rent-a-cops should all have disrupter shields and devestator cannons that they're no different from fully armed anthropods. - NKF
Tammy
Good points as usual, NKF. I particularly like using entropy against the aliens and leaving them with nothing to shoot back at me with.
