Space Voyager
He he he, great mix! Fireaxis should invest some money into the movies! Turn-based combat, naturally.

The magic was broken to me the moment I recognize Charlene Therazone (whatever she's called) and the brain realizes that is just a mix of games/movies footage, but a good one. FireWarrior
I want a movie that tries to copy X-Com UFO style turn-based missions, would be the funniest thing ever watching actors trying to figure that out
Ki-tat Chung
The XCOM Facebook page posted a German fan film parody of the new XCOM, which is quite a laugh. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=449402621768837 Pete
Pete
Oh my word, I could only pick out a few words of what they were saying, but that was AMAZING - well worth watching that Facebook vid. The fake movie trailer was also good. The only question is, without turn-based missions is it really X-COM or just another action movie with aliens? I agree it would be funny to make the missions turn-based so you get the amusement of being able to stroll through a group of aliens on your turn to flank them and then shoot one in the spine. My top-ranking sniper would be good with her "In the Zone" capability, dropping aliens like flies
Space Voyager
I want that tank!
NKF
That mini panzer with a driver. That would've been so much better than the SHIV. Honestly! - NKF
Space Voyager
And the driver could earn experience!
Ki-tat Chung
Actually, that is one of my biggest gripes with SHIVs: soldiers can't get XP. At least in the original, your squad wasn't limited to 4-6 units, so tanks weren't as limiting.

Space Voyager
A SHIV should, IMO, be an additional unit - this would make researching it etc. much more worthwhile.
