Tycho
Some thoughts:From where did you download the Extender and what version is it?Have you tried TFTD Extender without enabling the MP3 music? If these don't work, can you tell what exactly the problem appears to be and any error message you get?
DaveHicks
yeah tryed with and without music on. and tftdextender is from ufopedia 1.5 and patch 1 generic windows "TFTD" Has stoped working error btw
Tycho
Have you tried setting your video option to D3D in the INI?If that doesn't work, could you post you INI file here? Is the executable file called "Terror from the Deep.exe"?
DaveHicks
yeah its the right name and here is my ini TFTDExtender.txt
Tycho
Do all you get when you launch the extender or the main terror executable is a black screen? Try this INI file. It disables everything except D3D. If that doesn't work. Then try the Terror from the Deep_patched.zip. Just extract the files into the TFTD folder and click on Terror From The Deep_patched.exe. Hopefully the INI will work and we can isolate what is causing the problem. Edited September 24, 2012 by Tycho

Tycho
Well, this is the last thing I have for tonight. This is a file that Bladefirelight made to fix the incompatibility with Vista and he says it works for Windows 7 too. Extract the files and run the bat. Tycho
Try this recompiled version of 1.5p1 with an unmodified version of the executable. For this, you will need the MS VC 2008 redistributable installed.TFTDextender105p1.1.zip Pete
