Well if you really want more work I'll have some time this weekend to do some modding of my own on the SG so I could really use them StarGate weapons (zat gun, staff weapon, hand device, healing device, T.E.R....).
*insert looooooooooong kiss no.2 here* YES! Now let's see what this baby can do! Should be quite fun for me though! Maya to Milkshape to UFO:AM! Hope the model dosen't get screwed up in the process if it is even possibile. Those this plugin support the animations?
I don't even use the case (at the moment anyway). Back to the topic. I've stopped modding the game for the moment so don't expect to see any future mods from me. But I will resume the work if/when any 3D model/tool comes. I don't see any point in doing a Stargate TC if the TC is not even possible.
Well I had a 300W power supply (Enhance) and it worked fine untill now. First the on board lan died and now the mobo it self did. This Asus board didn't even have the small power connector and I wasn't using any computer case. For the most part it worked fine even on full load (such as DVD 2 Divx ripping/encoding). Had no problems in games and system it self was rock solid (no crashes what so ever). Then mobo just died.
It seems that I don't really have much luck with them Nforce chipset motherboards. The Asus one I got fried taking the hard drive with it (thank god the drive just crashed and didn't burn out and I had the backups this time). Besides I did ran into a dead end since there is no model editor/inporter. I do plan to finish this at least story/text/movies vise when I get my mobo replaced once again wich by the way could take a week or more. Didn't deal with this guys yet so I really don't know what problems I might run in to trying to prove that the varanty for the bloody mobo is still valid!
I wouldn't know since I'm running the thing on the Athlon XP 2600+ OCed to 3000+ with 1GB of ram and the GeForce 4 Ti4200 with 128mb of ram. I didn't notice any speed changes with that configuration. Have you had any problems with it?
Well it is ~43 megs and you can grab it here. The file is in it's usual mod*.vfs format so just shovel it in to your Ufo: Aftermath directory and enjoy. Please report bugs (if any) to me or on the Stargates forum under the X-com sound mod. You can get to the forum through my site here. Changes: As requested the updated music mod with changed menu music (now featuring fade-in effect ). The previous interface sound mod is included with one of the inventory sounds removed. All of the weapon sound were changed most of them using sound from the first three X-Coms. And last but not least all of the alien hit/dead sounds were also changed. All of the aliens have there own unique sound and all of them have it. 14 of these aliens have hade their sounds replaced using those of the first three X-coms the rest use the original sounds. Bugs/Problems: In the brief test I've put this through I've found that if you should hit an alien not always will there be the hit sound played. I would say that this is the bug in the game it self since I wasn't able to fix the problem with anything I tryed.
Ok I'm half way through. The only thing left is the aliens. I think I'm going to be able to give each alien its own sound. I hope you'll be able to host this Slaughter somwhere for a while untill I switch my job. Once there I'll be able to host them on my own
I'll probably put everything up as a one big giant X-Com music/sound mod download. This will include the music mod, the interface sound mod and the latest weapon/alien sound mod. All sound ofcourse taken form the first three X-Coms.
Still waiting for Gurkoz. This OTHER project is coming along rather slowly (real life and the job coming in the way...) and I've hit the same model replacement dead end. So I'm afraid that this full conversion mod will never see the light unless we get an inporter. Perhaps if somebody creates a plugin for the Deep Exploration program. that one is capable of saveing to may 3D formats.
