Kiritsu Games
Hi all, My name's Ruben Monteiro, I'm an indie game developer working on Band of Drones, a squad tactics turn based strategy game. I'm trying to gather some feedback/ideas for my game from strategy lovers. Overall gameplay is quite similar to X-Com or Laser Squad (for those of who have been around long enough to know it). There's development that you can do on your units and weapons throughout your campaign. There's also online multiplayer for 2-4 players and modding support with a level editor included. Check out the trailer and let me know what you think.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kD1MQ_5oPko A demo/alpha version is due out sometime in January 2013. Kiritsu Games
Hello! A demo for Windows is now available - you can play two mission from the "garden" world. https://bandofdrones.com/files/BandOfDronesDemo.exe (60Mb) I could really use your feedback, mostly on gameplay or bugs. Thanks and have fun! Ruben
Guest Guest
Ruben, I loved the demo mostly, it had just the right feel to bring back the old Lazer Squad memories.Just one or two things:1 It's too easy to get distracted and accidentally end your turn. I'd feel happier with a confirmation on that function, and even more so with a Civ5 style taking you to unused units and not letting you end turn until you'd done something.2 the text gets a little repetitive after a few kills, and could use some expansion. I know it's a minor thing, but the little things make for atmosphere.
